This year we are supporting the Food Bank's Reverse Advent Calendar. The ‘reverse’ advent calendar is a way of helping people with limited resources over Christmas. It involves putting one item of food or toiletries aside each day during Advent ( or now if you’re feeling keen). Just imagine if we could get 500 people collecting food boxes – that’s 12,500 extra items of food for those in need.
It’s also a great way to show children that Christmas is about giving as well as receiving – you can also get them involved by asking them to decorate the box.
You can bring the box/bag to the Parish Office where the Food Bank will collect them. Last drop-off 17 December.
