Milton Keynes has 56,000 street lights and 2,500 Illuminated signs and bollards. The authorities objective for Street lighting is to undertake a programme of capital replacement of the existing stock over a fixed life to move towards a more sustainable asset that enables them to function effectively, provide a safe environment for highway users and reduce energy and carbon to ensure that the asset is managed in the most cost effective way.
