A woodland area planted by children from the nearby schools to mark the turn of the Century.
Along the border if The Grand Union Canal and Marsh Drive Sports Ground, this little area of Great Linford has a plaque with the inscription:
Childrens Millenium Woodland
Planted by children from Giffard Park, Great Linford & St Andrews Schools
on behalf of all Milton Keynes Children born in the year 2000.
In 2018 two ponds were created in this area by Milton Keynes Council jointly with the Newt Preservation Society to provide a habitat for Great Crested Newts. It was found in 2019 that the project had been successful and two further ponds are being created.
