A Day Packed with Free Activities
Our Family Fun Day was packed full of activities that brought joy and entertainment to everyone. Here’s a recap of the highlights:
Participants experienced the thrill of playing football inside giant inflatable balls. It was fun to watch. There was an action-packed Nerf battle and for those seeking more thrills, there was an assortment of inflatable castles and slides for all ages!
Aspiring football stars tested their skills in our Football Shootout, and children transformed into their favourite characters or animals, thanks to our face painter.
Visitors tried their hand at circus skills, thanks to Showtime Circus and animal lovers got up close with friendly animals at Ark Farm.
The speed and excitement of Go Karting brought out the competitive spirit in everyone. There was also an opportunity to try a new activity, Archery Tag which combined the thrill of archery with the excitement of tag
There was a vibrant performance from the African Diaspora Youth Dance group and live music from Rory Okane and Jack Graves.
In addition to the activities, there were a variety of stalls offering unique items and delicious food.
We're thrilled to announce that our Community Fun Day successfully raised £509 for the MK Food Bank!
Louisa Hobbs added, “Last week’s Fun Day in Conniburrow was a great community event which we enjoyed being part of, and to raise £509 and collect a large box of food was fantastic.”
Louisa added that MK Food Bank needs a minimum of 5,000 food items, £530 and 55 volunteer hours every day just to keep open.
Asma Moustaoui, Community Development Coordinator for the Conniburrow Community Programme extended her thanks to everyone who joined us for the event, “It was wonderful to see our diverse community come together and enjoy such a fantastic day filled with activities, music, and laughter. The spirit of togetherness was truly inspiring.”
Hosting events like this takes a lot of organising, and Tommy Hayes, Community Liaison Officer at Great Linford Parish Council paid tribute to everyone involved in making the day happen.
"Thank you to all who came out to the Community Fun Day on Saturday! Seeing the community come together in such a positive and vibrant way was truly heartwarming. Special thanks to all the stallholders, performers, and volunteers who contributed to making the day memorable. Their efforts and enthusiasm truly showcased the best of our community spirit. Here’s to more amazing events like this one!"
