Great Linford Parish is buzzing with excitement as the coronation of the new king is just around the corner. This is a momentous occasion, and the community is getting ready to celebrate in style. If you're looking for something to do in the area, here are some local events happening in Great Linford Parish to celebrate the coronation.
Great Linford Community Hub Afternoon Tea, supported by Great Linford Parish Council
Join Great Linford Community Hub for an Afternoon Tea to celebrate the King's Coronation.
When: Sunday 7th May
When: Starts at 1.30pm

St Andrews Church Celebration
Bring a picnic and something to sit on and join the party in the gardens of St Andrews church. All welcome.
Refreshments from the North Porch Café and music from Crossroots Band.

Mono-print your very own seasonal cards from natural materials
-Miniature Mythical Beasts
Eaglestone has a Griffin, Beanhill has a Tin Man and Great Linford has a Dragon... what would you make for the place you live, and how does it reflect your personality? Make your mythical beast or statue using air dry clay and take home to decorate.
-African Inspired Weaving
Did you know weaving is one of the oldest surviving artist practices in the world? Create your very own weaving using colourful wool and fabric strips. Can you create patterns and tell a story in your weaving?
ALL WELCOME, pay what you can on the door, suggested donation £3 per activity, all materials provided.
Hot/cold drinks and snacks available from the café.
Bring a Picnic to enjoy in the Arts Centre's garden and enjoy some art activities.
The Barn Café will also be open throughout the day serving hot/cold drinks and snacks supplied by companies committed to reducing their environmental impact.
You can pick a spot and sit in the garden or you can even take a short walk to the historic Great Linford Manor Park! Spare picnic blankets available if you don't already have one.
