Creative Space Birthday Exhibition – A Celebration of Creativity and Community
Hosted by Arts for Health Milton Keynes, The Creative Space Birthday Exhibition, held on Saturday 27th September at Conniburrow Community Hub, was a vibrant celebration of a whole year of creativity, connection, and well-being.

The Hub was filled with colour and inspiration as visitors came to admire the diverse artwork created by participants over the past year. Every piece told a story of creativity and personal growth.
Asma Moustaoui, Community Development Coordinator for Great Linford Parish Council, shared:
“It was inspiring to see the diversity within the community reflected in the range of artwork produced during the sessions, each piece showing real talent and commitment.
Laura and Robin, the artists leading the sessions on behalf of Arts for Health, put considerable effort into organising the event and including live music, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. During the hour I was there, I saw around 20 individuals visit the exhibition, demonstrating good engagement and community interest.
After speaking to participants, one individual shared that the sessions have become her personal space to escape her busy schedule as a mother. Even though she brings her children along and initially felt she couldn’t do art, it has become her club to de-stress and feel good about herself.”
Visitors were also inspired by the sense of community that has grown around the weekly sessions.

Cllr Derek Harvey OBE, who attended the exhibition, highlighted the importance of the parish council’s partnership with Arts for Health Milton Keynes:
“It’s important that Great Linford Parish Council supports initiatives like Creative Space. By working in partnership with Arts for Health, we can help combat social isolation, build confidence, and bring our community together through creativity.”
The birthday exhibition not only celebrated the achievements of the past year but also invited new people to discover the joy of creativity and the benefits it brings to well-being.
