Leadership Update from Derek Harvey, OBE
Chair of Personnel Committee, Vice Chair of Finance, Governance & Asset Committee
We are pleased to share an update on recent staffing changes at Great Linford Parish Council.
As announced in our Winter magazine, our exceptional Parish Manager of more than 14 years, Eirwen Tagg, will be stepping down from her role, with her final day as Parish Manager on 31 December 2025. We are grateful for her many years of dedicated service. Eirwen will continue supporting the council for a couple of months in the new year to ensure a smooth handover.
We are delighted to confirm that Tess Phypers, currently our Responsible Finance Officer, was successful in the recruitment process and will become Parish Manager from 1 January 2026. Congratulations, Tess.
We also congratulate Tommy Hayes, who will be taking on the role of Deputy Parish Manager.
Recruitment is now underway for a new Responsible Finance Officer. If you or someone you know may be interested, please contact the Parish Office for further details.
Best wishes and seasonal greetings to all.
Team Update
Welcome to Nicola – Finance Administrator
We are pleased to welcome Nicola to the GLPC team as our new Finance Administrator.
About Nicola:
Nicola previously worked in the Finance & Business Services team at The Open University, supporting the STEM faculty with project finances. Outside of work, she is a netball umpire and enjoys walking, gardening, and exploring WW2 history. She is also a Watford FC supporter, and attends matches whenever she can. Nicola is currently learning French to help communicate with her two-year-old grandson, who is being raised as a mainly French speaker.
Welcome to William Fry – Facilities & Grounds Technician
Earlier this year, we welcomed William Fry to the team.
About William:
William comes from an engineering background and chose a new career path that allows him to work outdoors and step away from a desk-based environment and constant online meetings.
Welcome to Andy Brenkley – Facilities Maintenance Technician
We are also pleased to welcome Andy Brenkley in the role of Facilities Maintenance Technician.
About Andy:
Andy enjoys surfing—sometimes with an engine, sometimes with a sail to pick up speed. He takes great pride in keeping our facilities running smoothly and says the best part of working at GLPC is being part of a team that truly cares about the community and enjoys giving something back to residents.
A Strong Team for Our Community
We are proud to have a dedicated and talented team committed to serving the community of Great Linford Parish.
