Conniburrow Celebrates Grand Opening of New Community Hub with High Sheriff and Local Residents.
The Conniburrow community came together for a memorable day as the Great Linford Parish Council celebrated the grand opening of the new Conniburrow Community Hub on Tuesday, 27th August. The event, held at 37-39 Conniburrow Boulevard, was a resounding success, filled with joy, laughter, and a strong sense of community.
The day began with excitement as the MK Play Association hosted engaging activities for children from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Families gathered early, and the sounds of children’s laughter filled the air, setting the tone for the day.
We were delighted to welcome Youth Mayor, Maggie Beckett, Councillor Marie Bradburn, MK Mayor, Kurshida Mirza, the High Sheriff of Bucks and Francesca Skelton, Deputy Lieutenant.
At 11:30 AM, a special moment arrived as the High Sheriff officially opened the hub. With a few welcoming words and the symbolic ribbon-cutting, the new community space was launched, marking the start of a new chapter for the Conniburrow estate.
From noon onwards, the festivities continued as residents enjoyed a complimentary afternoon tea, indulging in delicious treats while mingling with friends and neighbours. The atmosphere was lively, with inflatables and face painting providing endless entertainment for the children.
The Activity Zone was a hub of energy, with table tennis, table football, and garden games drawing in participants of all ages. Music played in the background, creating a festive vibe as guests relaxed at tables and enjoyed the beautiful afternoon.
The event was a true reflection of community spirit, bringing together residents in celebration of their new space. The Great Linford Parish Council expressed their gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to making the day such a wonderful success. The Conniburrow Community Hub is now officially open and ready to serve as a vibrant gathering place for years to come.
