Celebrating Community at MK Melting Pot’s Summer Fun Day
Great Linford Parish Council was delighted to attend and support MK Melting Pot’s Summer Fun Day, a fantastic community event that brought residents together from across the Parish.
Despite a rainy start, the sun soon shone brightly, creating the perfect setting for a joyful afternoon. GLPC proudly contributed to funding free inflatable activities that helped create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for families and individuals of all ages.
The event was bursting with music, delicious food, colourful stalls, and smiling faces; it was a true celebration of our diverse and vibrant community.
“It was such a pleasure to be part of the Summer Fun Day,” said Cllr Christine Onan. “There was a real sense of warmth and unity. Events like this are so important in building community spirit, and it was lovely to meet so many residents and see children laughing and playing.”
GLPC councillors were on hand throughout the day: Cllr Christine Onan, Cllr Donna Nicholls, Cllr Derek Harvey OBE, Cllr Janet Brindley, and Cllr Wendy Robinson – dancing, chatting, and engaging with the community. It was a valuable opportunity to listen to residents, share ideas, and strengthen relationships across the Parish.
“As a Parish Council, we’re passionate about supporting local initiatives that bring people together,” said Cllr Donna Nicholls. “It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with residents in a relaxed and joyful setting. Well done to MK Melting Pot for organising such a positive, inclusive event.”
GLPC values its partnerships with charitable organisations and remains committed to supporting events and activities that enhance well-being and foster connection across all our estates.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with MK Melting Pot and celebrating more opportunities to bring the community together.
