On Thursday 19th May Great Linford Parish Council is holding its Annual General Meeting - and you're invited!
This FREE FUN event will give you the opportunity to ask Councillors questions, have a go at a new sport and enjoy light refreshments.
Each year, Great Linford Parish Council provides grants to all sorts of nonprofit community groups that provide services and activities for residents within the parish. We will consider any applications from existing and new starter groups. As long as your activity is based within the parish, or you can demonstrate that most of the residents are from our 12 estates.
On Saturday 9th April, over 30 volunteers met outside Great Linford Parish Council Office to take part in a Community Litter Pick. Volunteers split into five teams to cover the Great Linford estate and managed to collect a whopping 150Kg of litter.

Following the court proceeding between the Landlord Milton Keynes Council and Conniburrow Community Association, Great Linford Parish Council has been offered the opportunity to manage the Centre.

There are several things to sort out, but we wish to open the doors and welcome groups back to the centre as soon as possible.
The football club will hopefully be back playing at Conniburrow provided the rain stops and the pitches dry out - that’s the only thing stopping them finishing their season.

We have been approached by many groups who have shown an interest in running activities and sessions from the Centre. We are working with all of these groups to ensure as many as possible have a base to carry out their bingo, coffee sessions, prayer, cadets, health advice, housing advice .
Our website and Facebook will be updated with information, but if you are interested in hiring or working with GLPC or other community groups please get in touch at glpc@great-linford.gov.uk
Great Linford Parish Council is proud to own and look after 4 venues for community use. We are looking for someone who will take pride in looking after these venues and help keep these facilities great for residents and community groups to hire. There is potential to job share.

The role involves opening and closing for one off hirers, making sure regular hirers can work effectively, keeping them clean (contract cleaners do the heavy cleans), reporting any issues that you can't solve yourself.

You will be the custodian and keyholder of our community sites, there is some flexibility in working arrangements/hours.

For more information please email Eirwen Tagg, parish.manager@great-linford.gov.uk or call 01908 606613.
Just Be Wellbeing Cafe
Conniburrow
Wednesdays, 10.30am-2pm

The volunteer roles are open to people who are committed to serving our community and supporting the wellbeing of individuals. A basic outline of the roles are below. We hope that volunteers will be able to move between the kitchen and Cafe floor roles on a rota basis (though if a volunteer prefers to remain in on role that is fine too).

We are looking for people who are able to offer their skills, talents, hobbies and passions in our craft activities. We would welcome a range of different crafts from knitting and henna painting, to jewellery and model making. It would be great to offer our community the opportunity to be creative and experience the sense of peace and achievement that brings. The volunteers for the craft activities would bring their expertise in the area and share that with visitors to Just Be Wellbeing Cafe.
