Sport Facilities
Posted on 1st July 2024 at 09:41
Summer is here, and with the Euros and the Olympics capturing our hearts, there's no better time to get involved in sports. You don't need to be an Olympian or a professional footballer to enjoy the benefits of physical activity. Whether you love a morning 5K run through lush green spaces or prefer the quick-paced action of a tennis match, sports can boost your mind and body. With an array of sports grounds and facilities in our parish, there's no shortage of sports and activities to enjoy.
The purpose of this page is to share details about the various sports and activities available in our parish. To learn more or get involved, please contact the groups or organisers directly. We will regularly update this page, so be sure to check back often to stay informed about the latest opportunities and events.

Cricket Showcase - Printers Cricket Club
We are the Printers Cricket Club, established as a works team out of the Wolverton Railway Works over 50 years ago.
We have called Great Linford our home for nearly 25 years. In that time we have played in the Four Counties Cricket League and now playing in the South Northants Cricket League.
We are a small eclectic family, our youngest member is but 10 years of age and was selected to represent Bucks County last year. We are all very proud of him. We have a number of father/son combinations & one daughter/father combination playing for us. Our oldest playing member is 71 years of age, we do thankfully have a good crop of 20 year olds, four of whom are teachers, two teaching in Milton Keynes & the other two teaching across the boarder in Bedfordshire.
Last year as a team we won Division 3 of the SNCL, gaining promotion to Division 2. We also managed to win the 20/20 Divisional knock out cup.
We try to play with humility & respect.
We play for the love of the game, the joy of just doing something we love with people who have grown to become family.
We have no money & are hugely grateful to both the Parish Council, Eirwen the Parish Manager, Suzie for all her help & support on admin. We love to see villagers down at the ground enjoying the spectacle.
You’ll find use in the Nags after a home game. Come over and say hello, we are always looking for new players be you 75 or 10 years old.
We self fund & play the game for the benefits it brings to not only our physical wellbeing but also the benefits to mental health.
Many of our members have suffered loss, cancer diagnosis’s, heartbreak, redundancy & all manner of problems life throws up. But, once a Printer you are always a Printer, they say blood is thicker than water, but nothing beats the joy of playing at the High Street Great Linford with people who are more than just team mates.
