Welcome from the Chair of the Parish Council
Hello and welcome to the summer edition of Your Parish Magazine. I’m honoured to introduce myself as the new Chair of Great Linford Parish Council and to share with you a season full of opportunities, activities, and celebrations across our community.
With the sunshine here at last, it's the perfect time to enjoy the great outdoors. Our parish is home to fantastic spaces for play and recreation, including a scenic trim trail that stretches from Redhouse Park to Great Linford, a variety of well-loved play parks, and newly refurbished tennis courts in Great Linford, now open with pay-and-play access for all. These facilities offer something for everyone—whether you're looking to be active, relax in nature, or enjoy time with family and friends.
In this edition, we also look back on the Conniburrow Programme after a transformative 18 months. It’s been a time of growth and connection, and we’re proud of all that has been achieved. As we reflect, we also look forward to an exciting summer of local events and activities.
We’re pleased to shine a light on two wonderful residents, Carol and Dan, who share their stories and passion for our community. And we’re delighted to welcome new Parish Councillors Wendy Robinson and Joanne Allotey, as well as Cllr Donna Nicholls, who has been elected as our new Vice Chair.
I hope this issue inspires you to get out, get involved, and enjoy everything our parish has to offer this summer.
