Vice Councillor Patricia Lawar
Parish Councillor Biography
When did you become a Councillor? I became a local councillor for the second time on 30/10/2019
Areas of Special interest and expertise:
My areas of special interest are quite wide and varied. I have special interest in the welfare of vulnerable families, children and young people, and with the ageing population requiring assistance at some stage in their lives living in the Great Linford Parish and across MK. With the support and continued community spirit of the Parish Council, I hope to be able to make an impact in the community.
What inspired you to become a Councillor?
I have always had an interest in the community and as a local councillor (2015/17), I was able to participate in some community initiatives,; namely ‘Clean for the Queen’ (to help Keep Britain Tidy) which was well attended by volunteers and parish guardians to clean up Great Linford.
I was also a board member on the committee responsible for Phase 1 of the ROCLA art trail.
I have over the years volunteered my time to support local organisations in London and MK. I will continue to do so in my capacity as a local parish councillor.
