Great Linford Parish Council is consulted by the relevant Planning Authority (Milton Keynes Council) on all planning applications. Any views expressed by the Parish Council will be taken into account by the Planning Authority before a decision is made, providing the points made are relevant to the determination of a planning application. The final decision is made by the Planning Authority, not the Parish Council.

Planning Issues

Most people who attend a Parish Council meeting want to talk on planning applications. Some things to bear in mind:

The Parish Council is not the planning authority. We do not decide planning applications, Milton Keynes Council (MKC) do that, we only recommend to them what we think they should decide and they can (and do) choose to ignore us.

If you are objecting it is very important that you write to MKC as well as coming to our meeting. GLPC has created some planning policy guidelines which may help you with your objection, click here .
