The prevention and investigation of environmental crimes and offences to improve quality of life for residents, businesses and visitors.
Principal Responsibilities
To investigate incidents of environmental crime with a view to achieving a successful resolution whilst observing legilsation, policies and procedures. Issuing offenders with Fixed Penalty Notices, Cautions and Legal Notices as necessary. Working with Milton Keynes Council's Legal Team to support prosecutions.

Abandoned Vehicles
Vehicles that have remained in situ for a long period of time or with no tax / MOT can be considered abandoned.

Dog Fouling
Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) covers the whole of the Milton Keynes Borough to make it illegal to fail to pick up after a dog, under your control, has fouled in a public place.

Fly Posting
Posters, stickers or bills that are put up without the permission of the property owner.
Fly-posting is a criminal offence.

Fly Tipping
It is illegal to deposit any waste onto land, including waste dumped or tipped on a site with no license to accept waste.

Littering
Litter is anything from a crisp packet or cigarette butt to a bag of rubbish.
If there is no bin around, take it home.

Waste put out early
Present waste on the boundary of your property by 7am on the day of your collection but not before 5pm the evening before.
