Neath Hill Litter Pick and Geocache Event

On Friday, February 23rd volunteers gathered at the Macintyre Centre in Neath Hill to take part in a CITO.

CITO stands for Cache In Trash Out and combines the popular activity of Geo Caching and litter picking.

The event captured the imagination of young and old alike, for several hours the group scoured Neath Hill searching for hidden caches on their mobile phones, picking up litter as they went.

Wendy Robinson who organsied the event said "It was wonderful to see so many people turn up and take part. We recovered lots of litter and had fun in the process."

The event was a real community affair, MacIntyre provided volunteers with refreshments and the neighbouring Milton Keynes Murugan Temple not only offered their car park for use during the event they opened their doors so volunteers could take a look in side the temple.
